SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
The 2024 Great Lakes AMPP Recipients
AMPP’s EMERG Scholarship Awards Banquet in New Orleans during Corrosion 2024. The Great Lakes Chapter gave out two $3,000 scholarships to deserving students Mark Labib, and Tanner Laughorn. Both are studying corrosion at the University of Akron and are well on their way to a successful career in the corrosion field.

Alex Baxter - Freshman Class, Michigan Technological University (MTU)
Applicants must be enrolled or accepted full-time in an undergraduate science and/or engineering program at an accredited college or university.
Applicants must either have a permanent residence or attend a college/university that lies within the geographic boundaries of the AMPP Great Lakes.
Student must have a current GPA of 2.75 or higher.
Students enrolled in 2-year or junior colleges are eligible to apply.

- Two (2) Recommendation Forms from educators or employers familiar with applicants background
- Résumé
- Supplemental Essay Question(s)

- ESSAY: In 500-700 words, write an essay about corrosion and its effects on you and the environment.
